Chris Arceneaux with Pastor A. R. Bernard of Christian Cultural Center
Brooklyn, New York

February 3, 2009
Whom It May Concern:
This letter is intended to serve as a reference recommendation for Chris Arceneaux a long time member of the Baychester Golf Club (BGC). I have been acquainted with Chris for eight years but came to know him well the last two year, as he and I are members of the Baychester Athletic Club (BAC), a club for junior golfers (first tee). Over the last two years he and I have worked very close in developing a junior golf program. Chris became especially interested in junior golf and he took the lead in convincing BGC to start a corporation for junior golf. With Chris at point and Executive Program Director, he lead the BAC from none existence to a club that registered and trained over one hundred junior golfers. It was a challenging task, but when you get to know Chris he is a guy that never ever gives up. Chris is blessed with considerable talent. What many of us overlook is how hard Chris works to cultivate his talent, whether it be the basic skills, the art of a perfect swing, the short game or how to move the ball. I know of the effort that he put into the game because he shared his experience with me and other club members that need help in developing their game. I also appreciate the time that he put into his analysis of the swing when we are at the driving range.
Over the last two years, Chris work with the junior golfers in terms of teaching them the basic skills and strengthen their character, I have become a silent student of his. I have played with many golfers and of them they lacked his good nature and humility, and few demonstrated the genuine understanding and technique needed to became a great golfer. He has exhibited over and over a love for the game often accompanied by his excitement or enthusiasm for learning, understanding and helping others. As a friend I greatly appreciate such an energetic, inquisitive and diligent player.
When he told me his desire to become a golf instructor, I express full support and encouraged him to go for it. I hereby recommend him to you with self-pride and pledge that he become a part of your organization.
Sincerely,
Edward Brown President of Baychester Golf Club

To Whom It May Concern:
This is to serve as a letter of reference for Chris Arceneaux. I have known Chris for more than 8 years. I first met Chris as a guest at one of our golf outings. Shortly thereafter, Chris joined our Baychester Golf Club (BAC). BAC has been in existence for over 50 years and as an ex Tournament Director, ex Vice President, and ex President of the club, I have come to know many golfers. Chris is an outstanding (scratch) golfer, but more importantly he is an outstanding individual. He is a caring family man and he often brings his children out with him to different events and on different occasions. His children reflect the love, care, and nurturing that Chris and his wife are obviously committed to and dedicated to providing.
In addition, Chris is an outstanding member of the community. He has devoted his time, effort and money to create opportunities for children to learn to play and love the game of golf. I have personally witnessed his commitment and drive to "come through" for the children. Moreover, Chris is a man of integrity. He brings this to the golf course and beyond the course in his dealings with people. Chris is a man of respect and he treats all people with respect. These characteristics will make Chris a valuable asset to any organization.
But more than that, Chris is a highly intelligent individual who possess many skills; who knows how to get things done, right; who knows how to work with people in a most beneficial way while staying focused and committed to the purpose at hand.
I can say unequivocally that BAC would not be where we are today if it were not for Chris's vision, drive, and commitment to create opportunities for children to learn golf. Chris was elected unanimously to serve as our Executive Program Director. BAC is a non-profit, all volunteer organization and I highly recommend him for any position he is seeking.
Sincerely,
Eugene Mallory, President

********************************************************************************************* Little did I know that when I went out to play golf at 6:30 a.m. on a beautiful July morning, I’d find in my foursome a gentleman who would alter my life. I introduced myself to Chris Arceneaux and his two co-workers and, with his first tee shot I knew I was witnessing someone special. I remember turning to one of his buddies and asking, “Who is this guy? Tiger Woods?”
What I didn’t realize until I began working with him is that it isn’t just Chris’ drive that makes him special- it’s his drive… and his patience, his moral fiber and his sincere desire to give youngsters (particularly disadvantaged youngsters) the opportunity to experience and enjoy the world of golf.
That morning, between fairway shots, Chris explained to me the program he is involved in- LPGA/USGA Girls Golf. I asked if he needed a volunteer, and that was how I became involved in the program for the fall session. During the lessons, I observed Chris’ approach to teaching the game, and was reminded of it again yesterday when I saw a commercial on television. Dontrell Willis, of the Detroit Tigers, was encouraging a group of youngsters to learn about life through sports. This, I thought, is just the approach that Chris uses to make the game of golf meaningful to the children, who are between the ages of 7 and 17 and are very impressionable. I realized, too, that there is no greater role model for the youth of Freeport and Roosevelt, NY, than this gentleman. Not a session goes by that Chris does not instill in them the core values of respect, courtesy, discipline, integrity and honesty. He never misses an opportunity to teach a life lesson through a putt, a drive, or an attempt to get out of a sand trap.
I know, from working with him, that Chris’ goal is to give every child an equal opportunity to grow and learn through the game of golf. His wish is to open up a new world to these children, to perhaps save many of them by giving them a shot, a passion. He talks about how fortunate he was as a kid growing up in Louisiana when, by chance, at a crossroad in his young life, an adult took an interest in him, gave him a club to practice with, and told him that if he worked at it and ignored the abuse of the other kids in the neighborhood, he might succeed. All kids, he says, deserve that opportunity.
Given PGA status, Chris Arceneaux would be able to reach so many more youngsters; it would enable him to “make a difference.” And, after all, isn’t that what we, at our best, hope to achieve?

Dear Sir/Madam,
It gives me great pleasure to recommend Chris Arceneaux to you. I met Chris when he first moved to the New York area and have dealt with him over the years in many different endeavors.
In business he is honest, straight-forward and always looking out for his client’s best interest. He has even taken time out to show me how to responsibly deal with my credit history and credit report. I even remember a time when to his detriment he lost the benefit of the commission on a large sale by referring me to another outfit that could handle my particular situation.
As a golfer he is an outstanding example of the best virtues this game brings out in a person. Watching, playing along with him, or even practicing with him makes you a better person. He unselfishly shares his thoughts and techniques, and it thrills him when you accomplish great things. I appreciate the fact that he always tries his very best even when things are not going the way he wants.
As a friend, and a family man, I again emulate a lot of things he does in balancing career with family. At times he brings his children along if it means honoring his commitment without abandoning the family.
As long as your organization promotes honesty, and integrity I think you will be absolutely pleased and impressed with the man, Chris Arceneaux. If you have additional questions feel free to call me at the above number.
Sincerely,
Bertrand Bonnick, D.D.S., M.A.G.D.

To Who It May Concern,
I am writing this letter on behalf of Chris Arceneaux, member of the Golf Channel Amateur Tour from 2005 to 2007. While on Tour, Chris started in our Palmer Flight (Second lowest handicap group) and by the end of his time he advanced his game to the Nicklaus flight (Our best handicap group). While accomplishing this, Chris managed to win multiple events, often posting scores in the low 70’s. His crowning achievement came in 2007 when Chris was awarded the Player of the Year award, given to the single best golfer on Tour. Considering that he was competing against over 200 golfers, this was no small accomplishment.
In addition to being a talented and hard working golfer, Chris showed a high level of sportsmanship and grace. He was certainly known for his golf performance, but equally known for his kindness and easy going personality. I consider him to be a true gentleman.
Sincerely,
Bryan Haltigan

To Whom It May Concern:
Gentlemen and / or Ladies,
I have been asked and am pleased to write a reference letter on behalf of Mr. Chris Arceneaux.
I met Chris 2 years ago when he contacted us to arrange a day for some young people to be introduced to The First Tee Life and Golf Skills Experience.
We provided Mr. Arceneaux with a date and time and in less than 2 weeks all details had been arranged by him, along with the Baychester Athletic Club, and he had arranged volunteers for the 500 children he had planned to bring.
A very organized group arrived and we conducted a 2 hour introduction to our program and Chris and his group handled themselves admirably on behalf of the children.
Chris has been very active since then, sponsoring a school for our National Golf in Schools program, bringing children from Baychester Athletic into our regular programming, and arranging two more “Festival” introduction days for a mixed group from Mount Zion Methodist Cathedral and a young Ladies Group from another program.
Many of these children have remained in the First Tee Program and Chris has volunteered a great many hours to shepherd them through the golf and life skills, as well as play and counsel some of our more advanced students as well.
Mr. Arceneaux is a superb player and has passed his Players Ability Test with the PGA. He is a skilled communicator, an experienced businessman and has decided to pursue his passion for golf as a profession.
I am happy to recommend him and am extremely confident that he will be an asset to any golf club, organization or group within the industry.
